Yikes! A week has gone by without my updating the blog….I guess I’ve been preoccupied with other things, like getting us to Austin and working.
Last Saturday, Camille turned 11! To celebrate, we tried to get her a new passport, but that plan was quickly scratched. Instead, we went out for brunch at Thumbs Up. Chloe hadn’t wanted to go since she wasn’t sure if the cafe had whipped cream for her waffle, so we first stopped at Kroger and bought a can of whipped cream and brought it in with us. Chloe didn’t want me to — she thought people would laugh at her. I reassured her that people would think that she had the best parents in the world…
In the evening, Claire and her dad came over to help us celebrate with Camille’s choice for dinner, an ice cream cake and some gifts. Camille was pretty thrilled with it all, but can’t wait for her BIG gift — a trip to the Myrtle Beach MagiQuest in January with two friends.
