Less than a week after our last journey there, we headed back to Jammin’ Java, this time to go to the CD release party for Milkshake. Unfortunately, the UPS guy couldn’t find Lisa’s house yesterday and there were no new CDs available. Instead, Lisa gave a price break on the DVD and gave away posters for free. Bummer, but not really the reason we went.
There was quite a large crowd, including a birthday party for a two year-old. Chloe, in typical Chloe fashion, wanted to go up to the mosh pit, but didn’t want to go alone. So I gave up my nice chair and sat on the hard floor up front — have you ever seen the floor at Jammin’ Java? Free prize if you post in the comments what it resembles….
All in all, it was a great show, a nice mix of old favorites and songs form the new CD. As usual, the kids went nuts (in a good way) for the big beach ball baseballs and for the bottle of sunshine. I loved watching all the littles (and my Chloe) jump and sing. Lisa comes out into the audience fairly often, which the kids just love. The lighting was a little bizarre, but ….
After the show, we chatted with Lisa for a while, wishing her well and asking her to come to Atlanta soon …
