On Saturday, the girls and I got up early and headed to the airport in the rain for our 8:40 flight. The weather was bad, but not bad enough to delay the flight. The plane was tiny, so Camille had to sit in the row ahead of Chloe and me. There was a medical emergency on the flight (my second in 3 months), but the closest airport was Austin, so we were not diverted.
Once we were able to get off the plane (after EMS took the patient off the plane), we met up with Phil, Barbara and Jim and drove home where Marty was waiting. We had a quiet afternoon at the house, after some soup for lunch and a little puppet show by Chloe.
In the evening, Suze and Luis and Duncan came over for dinner. We set up a huge table in the living room and ordered Johnny Carino’s for dinner. After dinner, we celebrated Earth Hour by heading out for a walk while Phil did dished by candlelight. When we got back, it was time for cake and presents.
What a day!
