Yesterday, I managed to get enough done early enough that we headed out to the homeschool day at the Atlanta History Center. The kids were pretty excited; they love to go there. Unfortunately, the traffic was an absolute nightmare. A funeral in the middle of the highway kept all traffic at 40mph for 10 miles. Out-ted lights on surface streets resulted in terribly backed up traffic all the way from 75 to the museum. By the time we got there, we had missed some of the activities.

The girls enjoyed the “crafts”, but then we went on a “Civil War to Civil Rights” tour. The kids in the tour were so knowledgeable, it was great! But Chloe got bored and started to whine and be miserable. I tried to keep her from melting down, but it was hard. Camille did learn some and was happy to know answers to many of the questions. After that tour, we went to a hands-on event that was much more Chloe’s style and was nice for her. Finally we got to the favorite place, the Olympics exhibit.
