After having been in California for ten hours now, I’ll share my thoughts. Since all I’ve seen is the San Jose Airport and this hotel, it won’t be much. I did bring a camera, but forgot it was SD not compact flash, so I won’t upload photos until I get home.
One Day Meeting Pros:
I only brought a backpack.
I don’t have time to adjust to Pacific Time.
I won’t have time to get bored of saying hi to people.
One Day Meeting Cons:
I doubt I will see much of the light of day in CA.
I don’t get to catch up with many of my coworkers/friends.
Airplane Pros:
No meal service – keeps the aisles clear and I don’t have to worry about having someone spill their food on me while trying to eat in a cramped space.
Airplane Cons:
Cramped seats. The man next to me was quite large, partway in my seat, which made it hard for me being in the middle and also large (though not as large as he was).
Hotel Pros:
Big TV all to myself
Real coffee mugs
Eleventh floor room with sliding door that opens with view to the mountains, adventure park, and Yahoo! (heh)
Airplane seats. Ugh. When we went to San Antonio this summer it was nice to sit next to my kiddos. Who had plenty of room for my hips to spill into their seats.
I am supposed to go to Boise in April. And I am so reluctant because I don’t want to spill into anyone’s seat.
Today’s Highlights: Visiting with a friend in San Francisco, walking on the Golden Gate Bridge, driving down Lombard Street, having a raccoon steal our bread […]

Kat – Traveling with two kids certainly gives more room than traveling with two large adults!
I would go if I were you and not worry about it….just try for an aisle seat 🙂
