Monday the girls and I flew back from DC. While the airport was fire marshall scary, checking in and going through security was easy-peasy. We boarded on time and were set to go, but the plane wasn’t. The navigation system wasn’t responding to being rebooted, so we had to get off the plane and wait for a new plane to arrive for us. Our delay messed up my plans, and I started to stress.

Christmas Eve was a decluttering day (after I worked). The kids did a great job cleaning out drawers, shelves and closets. As per our tradition, we opened Christmas cards in the evening before the kids opened one gift each. Camille made cookies for Santa. It was nice to have a friend stop by and hang out with us for a bit, too.

The girls slept later on Christmas morning than I expected. We had a pleasant morning opening gifts and having a leisurely breakfast. Camille loved playing with her new creative sets. Chloe and Rob went for a bike ride.
