Wow! We got back from Texas on Wednesday night. We didn’t even unpack the car. Thursday, after classes, we headed right up towards DC. (Thankfully gas was to be found along the way.)
Why such a turnaround? A couple of months bag, I noticed that Ralph’s World would be playing in MD/VA this weekend and wrote to both the people at XMKids and Ralph’s World, asking to get a Rumpus Room concert scheduled. I don’t know if my intervention was responsible, but the concert made it on the schedule, and I just had to go. We love both Ralph and XMKids and could not miss the chance.
Rob met us at Union Station on Friday afternoon and we walked up to XM for the show. It was one INCREDIBLE concert. It was so much fun to be there…very worth the crazy schedule that it resulted in.
This was our fifth Rumpus Room show, and surely the most crowded. It was a much longer set than we are used to, and Ralph did a great job — I hope it turns out well for the future radio play! As usual, we were the absolute last people to leave. I just love being at XM and can’t stand leaving! Until next time!
