On our car trip to Washington, DC, Chloe called into talk to Robbie Schaefer at XMKids. She chatted and chatted and told him that she was heading to DC to go see her dad and to see Ralph at the XM rumpus Room. Chloe then said that Ralph is our “favorite artist.”
Robbie was not happy to hear this and theatrically sobbed, sending Chloe into a fit of belly laughs, the kind I just love to hear. Chloe then aquiesced that Robbie is her Second favorite artist.
After we got back from the Ralph’s World concert, I read the email about Robbie’s show the following day more closely and saw that he was playing at a fall festival for kids in McLean along with some other kids’ acts. It sounded like such a nice event that we decided to go, even if it meant that we would be getting into Atlanta quite late.
When Robbie arrived at the concert, Chloe was very excited to see him (and I think Robbie was also happy to see Chloe). It was such a nice concert; Chloe really enjoyed hearing Robbie play live, but really didn’t want to get on the stage with the other kids.
All in all, we are all glad that we were able to attend and see Robbie.
You guys are doing such cool things! (said while hiding in the basement – and listening to Katie sing all the words to the latest pop tunes…)
I’m paying the price now. I just couldn’t get out of bed today. My body aches all over. I hope tomorrow is better…
