book-cook

Barbara and Phil brought the girls a cookbook from their library sale. Last night, Camille planned a menu and shopping list based on the recipes in The Little Witch’s Black Magic Cookbook by Linda Glovach.

Phil took the girls to the store this morning for all the necessary ingredients, then they went to work preparing lunch. We had Tangerine Dream Salad and Pickled Peanut Butter Burgers to eat, Ghost Floats to drink and Frosted Funnies for dessert.

Chloe didn’t like pickles on her peanut butter sandwich.

Ewww…pickles on peanut butter?! Pickles on anything? 🙂 Camille should start her own recipe blog…

really. The recipe was for butter, peanut butter and pickles on hamburger rolls. Interesting…

Camille has too many blogs already — she can’t keep up with them. We discovered some of the cool features in the “draft” blogger today. Lots of stuff out there for gadgets, like in iGoogle.

Pickles on peanut butter?! Gross me out!! My kids would run for the hills.

Now, peanut butter and honey, that’s delicious!!

It really wasn’t as bad as it sounds, I promise! Not something I’d chose, of course. But it is so nice to not have to plan, execute and clean up after a meal.

I’m with Camille on pickles and peanut butter! Not even when I was pregnant would that sound good. It’s so fun that she’s planning a family meal, though! That cookbook sounds cute. I have the Mollie Katzen ones for when Lilah is older (Pretend Soup and Salad People).

Camille ate her sandwich; it was Chloe who needed the pickles taken off.

We have one of the Katzen books and have gotten others out of the library (there’s one with Pretzel in its name I think). Chloe likes them; bagel faces were a big hit for a while. Camille has advanced past them. She can use a knife, the oven and the stove without difficulty.
