Could there be any doubt? We headed out early and got on the F train to Union Square. We quickly found a deli and grabbed some bagels and coffee (milk for the girls). We sat at a table in Union Square to eat, then walked through the wonderful farmer’s market that was going on there.

Not only were there vendors with fresh flowers, fruit, plants, bread, milk, cheese and more, there were also bins for locals to dump their compost into! That was a little surprising (and stinky). It was chilly and not time for us to head to the off-Broadway theater, so we stepped into Barnes and Noble for a minute. The girls love a bookstore!

Then, we went over to the DR2 Theatre to see Gustafer Yellowgold. After we went in, Bill, Ella and Liam came in and sat right in front of us; how cool was that! We loved the show and are thrilled to have gotten a chance to see it. After talking with some of the folks in the lobby, Bill and I took the kids to Whole Foods for lunch. Chloe liked the saag paneer there….

From there, the girls and I walked ten blocks south to Washington Square Park. Half the park was blocked off, but the kids did get to play on the playground for a long time.

We got back on the F, or so I thought, to head back to Brooklyn. It said F to Coney Island, but started going through stations that are not on the F line. What I finally heard was that the F tunnel was not open or was busy, and so the F took the A tracks to Brooklyn and then rejoined the F tracks there. Weird. Too bad for the folks that were talking the F to somewhere in lower Manhattan!
