I got up early and worked for a long time (3 hours?) before the girls got up — the man across the street started screaming for his dog, and woke them up. Camille helped Chloe get breakfast, then the girls made us a pb&j, carrots, pirate booty, grapes and more type lunch. (Yeah for having capable kids!) We got in the car and headed to Fort Mountain with a short but expensive stop at the gas station in town. The pump blessed me with God’s love while I was filling up.
We met up with friends staying at a cabin at the park (their cabin had a dishwasher!). We hiked down to the lake and played mini-golf. The girls finished fast and went to play on the playground. We then headed to the lake for the first swim of the season. Brr. Camille, who generally wears black, wore her friend’s clothes (I told her to bring a suit, but she forgot the bottoms) and was very colorful and bright. On the hike back to the cabin, the two dogs, tethered together, came close to knocking me down and entangling us all.
