I should have taken a before picture, as the after is much less impressive without knowing what the before looked like.

Why is it that I have a release due during the most fabulous week of the year? It is so gorgeous outside, but I have to be working overtime this and next week. Ugh.

It stinks you can’t be outside much this week and next.

Before and after photos are so much fun. What did it look like before? Lots of weeds?

The area was full of bamboo, ivy, weeds and lots of dead leaves from when I raked in the fall. The rocks were covered with dirt an no fun for the kids. Now it’s much nicer; I hope that they plants will take and grow — I know better than to hope that the bamboo and ivy will stay away.

We have sooo much ivy. We are working on cutting it down from our trees in the back. Some of the vines are just huge and we had to get the hack saw out to cut them! (We are cheating though…I have a landscaper coming to do my planting!)

Oh, I know those vines. We had ivy, poison ivy and wisteria in thick bunches growing up in the woods at our old house. It took me forever to get it out of the trees (and a coupld cases of really bad poison ivy). I was still trying to eradicate it from the ground when we moved.

So clearing out the tiny backyard that we have now is lots of fun, and I’m really happy to be outside working in the garden.
