Have you met Uncle Rock? We here in the GBK House love his CD “Plays Well With Others” and play music it from it regularly on our radio station Gooney Bird Kids. In the past couple of days, we’ve heard the track “Break a Few Eggs” on both Spare the Rock and the new Hilltown Families Variety Show.

Yesterday we dyed eggs and had a few mishaps. But the broken eggs didn’t phase us — they led to a nice afternoon snack.

Notice the pretty crayon drawings on these eggs. They were made with the only crayons we could find int he house (most of the art supplies are now living in a storage unit as we prepare to move). Unfortunately, the crayons we found were WASHABLE crayons, and the drawings came right off in the dye. Oh well. The eggs are now a vivid blue. Red cabbage must be my favorite egg-dyeing color!
