While I’ve heard bits and pieces of the current discussion regarding the boredom of parenting, I have not searched for nor read the article by the bored momma. Sorry. I guess I’m just not bored enough to go and find it.
I ask myself, do I find parenting boring? Yes, sometimes the monotony can be boring. But that’s true of other activities. Brushing my teeth is boring. Folding laundry is boring. Do I want to do these things for myself and be a little bored or find some way to make them more interesting, or would I rather outsource them and deal with the headaches of management?
If a person is so miserably bored with what they are doing and cannot find a way to make it enjoyable, then outsourcing is probably the wisest choice.
