chaos in the house

I thought we had packing down to a science. And I thought the work I had done to outfit Evie would make it so we could just hop in and go.

But, somehow, things did not go well this morning. Three hours later and we are still not sure that we have everything ready to head out for a short weekend of camping. I’ll have to accept that packing to go camping is not trivial, and this is our first time heading out from home in Evie. I’m sure it will get easier and easier.

But, perhaps letting the girls bake cookies while we are packing and cleaning was not the brightest idea I’ve had.
