Europe in one day
A few weeks ago, we were fortunate enough to travel to Latvia, Spain, Germany, France, and Luxembourg … thanks to the third annual European Union Open House Day. We started out one block from our apartment, at the EU Delegation offices. I had always wanted to go inside, and was happy for the chance! A music blogger friend, Jeff from Out With the Kids, and his family came along as well.
Spain was WAY too crowded so we hoped on a bus to the ultra-organized and sprawling German Embassy. There the kids got lots of swag, went in a bouncy house and had big pretzels. France was a bit more formal and Luxembourg tiny and quirky. Except for the rude American tourist I encountered in Germany, it was a very nice day in Europe.
