I’ve never been a huge fan of Thanksgiving, and since moving up to the site of the “First Encounter” even less of a fan. I don’t like much of the traditional food (turkey, stuffing, gravy), and the prep work leads to unmanageable levels of stress.
So this year, with it being just me and Rob here, we went very low-key. We took the Eastham turnip we bought last Saturday and some potatoes from our “hat full of potatoes” and turned them into turnip soup.
We paired that with a homemade pizza topped with our homemade mozzarella, cranberry sauce, sweet potato cubes, and sage (thanks ,ChatGPT, for that combination!).
