Perhaps I missed my calling
I took this photo less than two months ago. Tomorrow that dial will read 106,000. That’s 6K miles in a month and half! Yikes!
I should have been a long haul truck driver. I can drive and drive. It runs in the family. The only problem is that I can’t even parallel park my Subaru. I could do the long haul part, but I’d need someone else to do any and all maneuvering once I was not on the straight and open road. Like at a gas station. Or through the jersey barriered construction zones where I feel squeezed even in my little car.
Wednesday we drove home from Texas. And Thursday we went partway to DC. Today we will finish the trip and tomorrow return home. I hope to park the car in the garage until Thursday (except for one trip to Target).

That is a lot of miles! I thought I drove a lot. I tip my hat to you.
But what you do, that I have issues with is driving such long distances by myself (well, with the kids). Maybe I just need to get AAA and get over it ๐
Yeah, we have that kind of coverage through our insurance company. I don’t look forward to the day when i have to deal with a car problem on the road, but I guess it is all part of the adventure!
It was nice to get the windshield replaced in TX.
I want to be able to do this with the kids alone but I’m afraid of falling asleep at the wheel. What adventures you have!
I don’t get drowsy unless it is like 3-4 in the morning…then I get a little sleepy. I hope I don’t lose that.
