Photo Friday: Cafe du Monde
At first Chloe didn’t want to go. Apparently, she did not remember her earlier visits. Once, in New Orleans, when she was about 15 months old, and once when in Kyoto when she was days short of turning five.
But, with the promise of a chance to sit down after all of our walking and the hope of a delicious hot chocolate, she agreed to give it a try. And enjoyed our decadent treat of mid-morning beignets at Cafe du Monde in the French Quarter.
We enjoyed a very pleasant hour in the warmth of the sun on the patio…eating beignets, drinking hot drinks, watching the tourists pass by.
The menu is short (and sweet). The wait staff is friendly. There was no wait for a table. Cash only.
And yes, Cafe du Monde Japan does exist, much to our surprise and delight …
This is an entry for Delicious Baby’s Photo Friday.

Love the sun streaming on their faces. Looks delicious and a beautiful day to go–can’t beat that!
Great picture of your happy girls! Cafe du Monde is one of my most favorite places in the South! ๐
I bet the girls enjoyed those beignets!
YUM. I went back to du Monde for my bachelorette weekend last year, and was just telling my husband last night when he ordered beignets at a restaurant here in San Francisco that I need to take him there someday!
Been there-love it! No idea there was one in Japan, though!
Sounds great and the girls’ happy faces tells me all I need to know!
Thanks for all the comments, everyone!! It was a very delightful day in New Orleans for all three of us!
