how does that happen? isn’t autumn 13 weeks long like all of the other seasons?
apparently not. my autumn/thanksgiving decorations, what few I have, only get to escape the storage room for a couple of weeks each year. On September 27th or soon thereafter, we decorate the house for Halloween (the rule is we wait until after Camille’s birthday). 
Then on November 1st, we decorate for Autumn/Harvest/Thanksgiving. Since our tradition is to head to the cabin for Thanksgiving, we end up being in our autumn home for only about three weeks… the other rule being that Christmas can only start after Thanksgiving is over.
Three weeks? And it truly is my favorite season. Somehow I feel cheated. Next year I will have an autumnal equinox party and make Halloween wait…
