It’s that time of year again… TurnipFest in Eastham! After running a few errands around town, Rob and I grabbed our hat full of potatoes (more on that later) and headed to Friends Marketplace to pick up a pint of Eastham Turnip & Maple Syrup with Cranberry Swirl ice cream—along with a beautifully plump Eastham Turnip, of course.
From there, we made our way to Chapel in the Pines for the annual Blessing of the Turnip. After the blessing, the Cape Cod Uke Club treated everyone to a cheerful mini-concert, kicking things off with a playful song all about Tip, the Eastham Turnip.
