Wednesday 2/14:

A few weeks ago I saw the news about the Strava heat maps. Curious, I looked at the map for the area around Arabia and realized that a few of the places on my “I haven’t explored that but want to at some point” should be explored ASAP. Phelix and I headed out mid-morning. We parked at AWARE and hiked out to the old shed — which is now no longer there. From that side of the lake we headed off trail to explore a completely new-to-us area. We found so many interesting spots. I really wanted to keep exploring all the outcrop there, but time was getting short. We have much more to explore next time. As we got back to the car, we spotted people — the first of our hike. And they turned out to be friends. Who admitted to calling Arabia “Gwyneth’s mountain”.
