Today is National Nothing Day and International Hot & Spicy Food Day and Appreciate a Dragon Day and National Fig Newton Day.
Slept in until almost 8am, then worked on photos, etc., from the previous day. After Camille was up and ready, we headed out. She grabbed a bagel at the bodega, and we took the train into the city and walked over to the Whitney. We enjoyed the exhibits and the view. From there we walked the length of the Highline to 34th, then back down to 37th to go to the “Fairy Tale Fashions” exhibit at the Museum at FIT. We stopped for bubble tea, but our dumplings took to long to come, and I got grumbly.
We then walked up to Midtown Comics in Times Square and then stopped in Muji and Konikuniya. We picked up a bite at Pret A Manger and had a “picnic” in Bryant Park. At the Nintendo Store, the staff member gave Camille a free stylus for her DS.
The train to Brooklyn took a long time to arrive, so we were 15 minutes late for the Hootenanny. It was great to see so many of our old friends all in one place! We left a little early because we were tired and hungry. I used Uber for the first time – and had the guy drop us at the gourmet store instead of at the apartment.
