New Years Day. The day for resolutions. Some may find it to be a bit cliche, but I like the idea of starting with a clean slate.
Last year, one of my resolutions was to get in at least 10K steps a day. While I had some days that for various reasons I missed my goal, my fitbit counted 3980088 steps for the year, for an average of almost 11K steps a day! I call that a success.
I’m gong to increase that goal to 12K steps a day for this year. Two days in and I’ve already fallen behind a little, but I’ll get it caught up soon.
I have many other resolutions:
- Taking a Photo-A-Day. I already do that, but I want to challenge myself to taking BETTER photos and also posting one photo to instagram everyday.
- Tracking what I eat. I find that when I track, I make much better choices.
- Going to the gym 5 days a week – when I am home.
- Sticking to a healthier eating plan.
- Writing in my journal everyday.
Much of these I do already, so sticking to them for this year isn’t quite as daunting as it may seem. I’m determined to make this the Best.Year.Ever!
