Today is Learn What Your Name Means Day and National Grammar Day and National Pound Cake Day and Purim.

Turtle cage cleaning day! Phelix runs and hided. Gazoo is curious.

As the temps were going to be n the mid-70’s, Phelix and I headed out early for our hike at Arabia Mountain. I didn’t wear a cot and still got hot! I’m so not ready for summer to come…

Almost finished up the last of the farm box; I’m getting a bit better about planning around what arrives. Used the farm sweet potatoes in our shepherd’s pie — some of the potatoes were purple! Made garlicky swiss chard. And then for today’s holiday, made sour Cream Pound Cake.

I finished week’s New Yorker as well as I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban by Malala Yousafzai with Christina Lamb.
