Today is Mardi Gras and International Pancake Day and Random Acts of Kindness Day and National Cafe Au Lait Day.
To start of this special day, I made chocolate chip pancakes. I just love how pretty the final batch turned out!
After a (stressful) morning at work and home, Chloe and I headed out to buy (cheap) gas and then to the Atlanta Band Center near our beloved Pine Lake to rent a sax. Thankfully, Chloe knew what she was looking for as I had no idea. When Chloe told the man which school she attends, the man helping us knew exactly who her band teacher is and what he prefers. Even though we live in a big city, sometimes it just gives off that feeling of a small town.
Back at home, I finished up my assignments and quiz for Week 3 of Programming for Everybody (Python). It is too easy, but I guess should be.
Following my reading of Walking Home: A Pilgrimage from Humbled to Healed by Sonia Choquette, I decided to order The Way from the library. Of course I loved it!
For dinner, we made a vegetarian jambalaya and a king cake. Both turned out quite well!
