remodeling.
Fifteen years ago we moved to a ranch house that had good bones and a great lot, but was in need of lots of love and updating. And we updated. And updated. And updated.
Walls came down. Stairs were moved. A backyard was rearranged. Walls were painted. windows and doors (interior and exterior) replaced. A front yard yard turned over, day by day. A new roof. A pool installed. It was a lot of work, day after day.
Once we moved to a brand new house in Pine Lake, our home projects were thrown out the window. We did a little painting and some minor projects, but that was it.
Then we moved to our condo(s) here in Decatur. We never need to do a project again, right? Well, no. Last year, we remodeled the office. And what a huge difference that made. From furniture graveyard to useful room! I think we all use it, every day, unlike before where only Phelix hung out in there.
While I really want to redo our laundry room, next up it the dining room. I have a few ideas, but mainly, I want to upgrade our counter. Not the counter itself, but the stools and the “backsplash”. I won’t sit there now, and I find it so not appealing ….
