Greece Trip: Day -3
After weeks and weeks of planning and preparations, we are getting down to the wire now.
Years ago when we traveled often, getting ready for a trip to France was fairly simple. We had all the things we needed. We knew what to pack. We didn’t spend too much time beforehand planning what sights to see as we’ve seen the highlights and looked for fun, off-the-beaten path things to do.
But this trip took a lot of planning. Researching places to travel to and sights to see. Finding ferries, planes and hotels. Dealing with the credit card company flagging purchases (argh).
And purchasing. I needed some clothes and shoes, as did the girls. Camille needed a kindle. Chloe needed a camera. We all needed new books on our reading devices.
And arranging. Pet care, carpool.
And getting ahead on various chores and tasks. Setting up various blog posts.
This week we are finishing up the list. Brows done, nails done. Hair to be done. Laundry, packing and electronics charging to get done.
There are a few uncertainties that have me feeling anxious. A tight connection in Paris that we will probably miss. Hoping that we still get to Athens in time to catch our ferry! Missed out on pre-purchasing tickets to the Anne Frank House. But even if there are a few mishaps, it will be an amazing trip. (I just need to keep repeating that!)
