While in Tybee Island in September, we decided to take a day to visit Savannah. Having never been there before, and because of the heat, we decided to try out one of the off-on trolley tours. While it was a fun way to see some of the old city, I don’t think we’d opt for that again. The off-on was not convenient as we had to wait 45 minutes for a trolly to come the one time we got off – what a loss of time!
The one stop we made was fun, at least – The Pirates’ House. We had already eaten lunch, so we opted to get a few drinks and some dessert. Delicious! We also had a tour of the restaurant with a pirate who told ghost stories.

Savannah has been on my list of places to visit forever! I’ve always thought the trolley would be the way to go, but I’m not overly patient so I appreciate you mentioning your wait.
The Pirate House looks like just the type of stop I would enjoy.
we didn’t find Savannah to be the most kid friendly town. We thought Charleston was easier to do with a smal child. Glad to hear about the Pirate House — seems like a good discovery.
I love Savannah. I’ve only had the chance to go there once. I love your pictures, especially of the walkway.
