around atlanta: skyview

Ever since it has opened, I’ve wanted to go and ride on SkyView, Atlanta’s new Ferris Wheel. The last time we were at Centennial Park, it was for a trip to the Coke Museum. The day was cold, wet and foggy, so we passed on riding the wheel.

Thursday night, I managed to convince the family that it was time to get back down to the park, and we brought Claire and Sally along for the ride. The line was a little long, but moved quickly enough. We climbed into our little pod, sealed off from the chill of the evening. And around and around we went. We had just enough spins to make us happy, and not too many to have the kids start getting bored. Afterwards, we tried to go to the nearby Waffle House, but it was too crowded, so we opted for the Varsity instead. The trip home from The Varsity was a bit TOO exciting as we somehow got involved in a car chase near O4W…
