Back in early June, we headed out for our second camping trip of the summer. This time around, both Rod and Phelix joined us. I’ve always wanted to visit Cloudland Canyon — from all reports, it was sure to be a magical place. We were not disappointed.
On Saturday, we headed out to hike to the waterfalls. Down and up, up and down. Stairs and more stairs. Phelix had a blast. I was tired. Amazingly, my parents arrived at the nature center just as the kids were about to self-destruct just thinking about the hike back to the campground from the rim.
The next day, we took another, shorter hike along the western rim of the canyon. The views were stunning. I can’t wait to see the canyon in every season!
