On Friday after I walked Phelix at 5:45am, we came in the condo to get Chloe ready for school. In the next twenty minutes, he stole Chloe’s shoe, chewed on clothes, peed on the floor, pooped on the floor, kept trying to climb Chloe to get her breakfast, insisted on nipping at us, etc. I had a nervous breakdown at that point. “I cannot live like this!” So out came the pen we bought last week that we had been using as a gate to block off the hall to the girls’ room. And in went the dog. With his toys, his bed, and his food/water. And there he’s been unless he is out of the condo, on a walk or being held by one of us. Instead of multiple accidents in a day, we’ve had NONE. He has calmed way down. Perhaps the complete freedom was confusing and overstimulating him? We still have a ways to go with him, but I am feeling a lot better about him being able to be a good puppy for us….
