Tonight, Camille and I headed to Pine Lake this evening for the annual Cookie Exchange/Lighting of the Lake. Every time I pull into Pine Lake, I get this wonderful feeling of being “home”. It’s a lovely, special feeling. And, how wonderful to be welcomed back into the community with open arms, even though we have made the choice to move away from this special place.

The little kids put on a pageant. Some of these kids weren’t born yet when we first moved to Pine Lake and have now grown in to lovely little kids, excited to be a part of the community events. I do hope that we can maintain a connection with my heart’s home in Pine Lake despite only venturing out there once or twice a month. It’s home.
