nostalgic projects
Lately, I’ve been working on projects that have brought on a bout of nostalgia.
I’m creating photo album after album via Shutterfly. I’ve decided that with all these photos that I take, it is time to make some nice albums! So far, I’ve made three Out West: Summer 2011, Butera Family:2011 and Turkey: Summer 2010. I’m currently working on France: Summer 2009.
I’ve been trying to put together an album a month. Assuming that I create approximately two for each year for the past 10 years, this will already take me a couple years. And by then I’ll have more to create! I figure if I can get through all of these, then I might even take the scrapbooks I used to make for the kids and turn them into albums as well. It is a project that will never end.
In addition, I’ve been struggling to clean up this blog. With as many times as I moved it and merged with other blogs, the archives are a mess. I hate seeing how terrible things look, how many photos had gone MIA, and so on. But each day that I work on it, I’m reminded of our many adventures!
However, it has made me appreciate even more all that we have done with the girls. Road trips, trips abroad, kids’ music concerts, the White House Easter Egg Roll and so much more !! Even if I feel a bit “stuck” at home these days, I know that I took advantage of every opportunity to give my girls an amazing childhood filled with unique experiences.
