photo friday: legoland independence
While I only mention it here and there, I am very much a supporter of Free Range Kids. In fact, one reason that we moved to Decatur was so that my girls could have more freedom to take themselves to the places they want to go — the library, the yarn store, school(!), the yogurt shop, their friends’ houses, etc.
As such, I was thrilled with the laid-back atmosphere at LEGOLAND Florida while we were there last month. The girls learned the park layout quickly and felt confident to come and go as they wished. Chloe, in particular, found herself wanting to go from riding the Technic Coaster with us to riding on her own to riding it on her own with her arms in the air to riding it on her own with a straight expression and so on and so forth. Each time she rode it (a dozen times?) she challenged herself further. I love the independence that this type of “theme park” fosters in my kids!
This is an entry for Delicious Babyโs Photo Friday.
