braves game: what game?
As a fundraiser, Chloe’s gymnastics team sold $10 general admission tickets to the Braves vs. Mets game last Saturday. While it complicated our travel plans, I thought it would be a good way for Chloe to get the chance to feel more a part of the team if she went and “did a lap” around the field with her team mates.
I walked in the door for the cabin, packed a little backpack with water and snacks, and we headed out the door, bringing one of our new neighbors with us. Parking was easy, so we had plenty of time to walk around a bit before Chloe had to go down and circle the full-sun, hot field.
Afterwards, she was THIRSTY, so she bought Dippin’ Dots. Expensive as all heck and certainly not thirst quenching. I think she learned her lesson. We got to our seats and eventually the game started. Just as it did, the friend we brought felt so ill that she had to go home, so Rob left to take her home. Then Chloe went to get a frozen lemonade. And then a diet coke for me and fries. Camille sat in her seat and drew. When Rob got back, he took Chloe and two other little girls to find the misters. And then Chloe was too hot — the sun had moved and our seats were now in the sun — so we left.
I have the feeling that we each watched about 10 minutes of the game. Exhausting spectator sport, for sure.

That is one big bucket of french fries!
I know that Michael and the girls would have loved to have gone – but that baking in the sun – well, not so appealing!
She went off on her own to procure snacks, so she bought the big one (for us all to share, of course :). We were out of the sun until the 7th inning. Then it got hot, so we left …. others just moved to new seats ๐
