Travel Tuesday: Weekly Highlights for 1 Mar 2011

A weekend spent picking up our new roadtripping vehicle and camping at the beach in Myrtle Beach was just what I needed! But now we’re back home again, and I love what I’ve been reading out there on the web, and I’d love to share my highlights with you.

Here are some of my favorites from the week:

  My fave RTW blogger reports on the question that has been bugging me for some time now!
• Worldschooled Adventures: The F Word
  Yet another post that helps me understand how other families can make their RTW dreams come true.
• Arrows Sent Forth Trip Report: St. Pete Beach/St. Petersburg/Tampa Bay
  I love reading about other families’ trips….and this one looks like such a pleasant one!
• To Europe with Kids: A Room With a Garden in Venice
  Wow! That looks like a really lovely place to stay!!
• Dim Sum, Bagels and Crawfish: Florence Museums with Kids
  Yet again, this ex-pat family tempts me into giving it all up and living abroad somewhere. Or, at least, make me want to plan a trip to Florence.
• Kids and Castles: Oddities
  These are the kinds of stories I love to read!
• Travels with Children: Why I Prefer Road Trips to Airplane Travel
  Gosh, I love both roadtrips and air travel (apart from the TSA ridiculousness, that is).
• Travels with Baby: Traveler beware: Car seat laws in Costa Rica are stricter than those in the U.S.
  Trying to figure out car seat laws within the US is hard enough, but even more difficult when traveling outside the US. I’ll never forget the time the car rental guy at Charles de Gaulle brought me a PILLOW to use as a booster seat in France….huh??

  This post reminded my so much of one of my own — though I’m not nearly as creative as Jackie is!
• No Beaten Path: Kindles are not a tool of Satan
  Right on!
