Photo Friday: Better than a Pot Of Gold
Beach . Getting There . Mississippi . photo friday Article
Two weeks ago, the girls and I spent much of Saturday in the car.
We saw highways and bridges. We listened to books and music. We made PB&Js while burning up the miles. And, what we found at the end of the ribbon of highway was not a pot of gold. No, it was even better.
We found ….
the beach. Just west of Gulfport, MS, was this gorgeous place for us to stop the car, stretch our legs and breathe deeply.
This is an entry for Delicious Baby’s Photo Friday.

Beautiful photos of this beautiful coast! Did you get to drive the causeways between New Orleans and Mobile? That is my absolute favorite part of the trip!
Yes! My girls were pretty impressed by it all, both directions ! A nice change from our usual interstates …
A day on the road with your girls, music, PB&Js and a beach at the end – what could be better?
This is going to make me sound ignorant–and I’m from the South, too!–but I didn’t realize Gulfport was so pretty! All the parts of Mississippi that I’ve visited have been inland.
Also, I eat PBJ for lunch every day. I would have fared well on your road trip!
The drive on US 90 west from Gulfport to Bay Saint Louis was gorgeous — and deserted. I admit, I don’t know if the beaches here are manmade and detrimental to the environment, but they sure made for a beautiful finale to our drive!
