Travel Tuesday: Weekly Favorites
Travel Sites Article
Happy New Year! I can’t believe it is Tuesday (and back to work after the holidays for me) We’ve returned from our little trip to Florida and are now hanging out in the woods of North Georgia for a few days … I love what I’ve been reading out there on the web, and I’d love to share my highlights with you.
Here are some of my favorites from the week:
- In Transit: And the Winner IsโฆIstanbul
We were ahead of the curve for once! - Kids and Castles: When You Keep Your Resolutions
Oh man, did that one strike a chord with me. I’m very guilty of imaging how much better life would be if we could just live somewhere else…. - Arrows Sent Forth: How Pepe Mouse and memories of Spain became part of our bedtime routine
If, and when, we go to Spain, I’d love to see these books! - Consider for your next vacation: A Modern Family Road Trip!
This, along with other things, has made me think that a big US roadtrip might be ideal for our summer vacation this year. - As frustration grows, airports consider ditching TSA
The more I think about it, the more I am amazed at the TSA. The “enhanced patdowns”, which I still believe to be unnecessary and ineffective, could have been implemented in a more civilized manner. Some PSAs ahead of time, more dignity for those undergoing them, and so on. Dump the power-hungry TSA idiots; improve communication and implementation!!
Some of the year-end/New Year posts I enjoyed:
- Mother of All Trips: My 2011 Family Travel Resolutions
- The Q Family Adventures: Our Family Travel in 2010
- LoveBaby LoveTravel: 2010 in Pictures
- Two Kids and a Map: A review of our 2010 travels and a preview of 2011!
- GobbledyGoon: Year in Review 2010 (yeah, that’s my own post)
now following:
(still) reading this week:
- A Thousand Days in Tuscany: A Bittersweet Adventure by Marlena de Blasi
