Travel Tuesday: Weekly Favorites
Travel Sites Article
This week is feeling even better than last week now that I have my own computer again (thank you Apple!!). I love what I’ve been reading out there on the web, and I’d love to share my highlights with you.
Here are some of my favorites form the week:
- After seeing the photos of Paris covered in snow last week, I’ve been thinking how lovely it would be to go right now and see the city of lights covered in white. Mara at The Mother of All Trips is also dreaming of Paris this week in her reflective post Mondays are for Dreaming: Paris at Christmas.
- Over at Kids and Castles, I’m enjoying following along with the ex-pat life in France. This week, Diane had a Donโt Panic, Itโs Just a โTeachable Momentโ, which made me laugh (sorry!). But it did make me start to think about the realities of children and travel a little more…
- Cool Mom Picks had a nice post about “a Universal Orlando Vacation for younger kids”. Having been ourselves, I agreed with much, but not all, of the observations made.
- How to Travel Around the World for $418
Wow. I have $418 right now. Let’s go!! - Vegetarian and vegan friendly restaurants in Japan
I just remarked yesterday in my post Mondays are for Dreaming: Hakone, Japan how challenging its was for us to find vegetarian food in Japan! - I realized last week, in this Note from LAFTI on the Passports with Purpose blog, that one of the directors of LAFTI is an author whose book And the Skylark Sings With Me was inspirational when I was first starting to homeschool the girls.
- Every so often, I get riled up and comment when I should know better. Top consumer travel stories of 2010
- Air rage: Is reclining your seat a right? (can’t we all try to get along?)
