Travel Tuesday: Weekly Favorites
Travel Sites Article
This week, I’ve started to feel like myself again. I realize now that I was in serious need of some downtime at home. Trying to keep up with work, homeschooling and the rest while on the road had been taking its toll. With that, I’ve enjoyed having a little more time to read blog posts and even comment on them occasionally! I love what I’ve been reading, and I’d love to share my highlights with you.
Here are some of my favorites from the week:
- Over at Kids and Castles, I’m enjoying following along with the ex-pat life in France. This week, Diane found a lovely tea shop in Provence, where she and her girls spend an hour out of the house.
- Another ex-pat family, this one in Italy, explored Exploring: Parco dell’ Etna over at Dim Sum, Bagels, and Crawfish. The photos, as always, are lovely!
- Jen at Two Kids and a Map laments having to miss a special trip due to a broken foot in Monday Dreaming of Mermaids. (Get better soon, Jen!)
- Mara at The Mother of All Trips has me dreaming of San Francisco with her post Mondays are for Dreaming: A Family Trip to San Francisco. (And today DH sent me an email saying that he’s likely headed there in January…)
- Explore Holidays in the Park at Six Flags Fiesta Texas: Way More Fun Than I Expected with Wandering Off.

hmmmm…. January would be an excellent time for a visit to SF, we think. Annie keeps mentioning Chloe. Maybe Camille could give me some spinning lessons. There’s great beach combing in Jan. And since we know you’d have lots to do other than visit us: I think there are also fewer crowds in Jan and it’s easier to get restaurant reservations (some very fab vegetarian ones, you know!). We vote yes, since it’s just a hop skip and a jump from you, right? And now that your sis is near by…. Can you tell I want you to come?
