Mondays are for Dreaming: The Beach
This Monday I’m dreaming of the beach. I’m disappointed in myself for dreaming of the beach…can’t I come up with something more exciting? But no, when I imagine myself going somewhere this week, it’s the beach. As for which beach, I’m actually not all that picky. Sure, I’d like it to be clean and fairly walkable, but as for the texture of the sand/pebbles, color of the water, temperature of the air, type of vegetation, I won’t be too particular.
I keep telling myself we’ve been to plenty of beaches this year.
In January, we went to Myrtle Beach
and Cancun.
In May, we went to Coney Island and rode the Wonder Wheel.
In July, we went to the Turkish Aegean.
In August, we went to Panama City Beach.
In September, we I went to Monterey, CA.
In October we went to Zilker Beach.
(Yeah, that’s not a beach….it’s a sand volleyball court pretending to be a beach…. the sand was pretty nice though.)
In fact, we live in a village with its own lake and beach.
Nevertheless, I’m dreaming of the beach once again….dreaming of the infinite horizon and the sound of the waves.
This is an entry for Mondays are For Dreaming at Mother of All Trips.

Well, with all of those different photos, I would hardly call this unimaginative! Evocative, yes, and good for bragging rights (all that travel). I don’t often dream of the beach, but if I did, I think I’d pick that one in Turkey for sure.
That’s a lot of beaches in one year. But I’m like you… I can never get enough!
