Around Selcuk – Day 17
It was strange to wake up in such a big house with only the four of us there. After breakfast, we headed out for a ride to Sirince. Riding in the “minibus” was a whole lot different when sitting in the front seat. Plus, I think anyone that saw us thought us to be stupid Americans to have the four of us in such a large vehicle…much larger than what we would drive at home in the US, for sure!
Sirince is supposed to be an old hillside village, but really seems to now be a tourist trap. We walked around a bit, but then got out quickly. We were amused by the garbage truck — a tractor pulling a trailer.
We headed back into Selcuk, then up the coast road. The views of the Aegean Sea were beautiful at first, but then we started to hit average beach towns filled with people, beach stores, and tackiness. After a bit, we turned around and headed back to Pamucak Beach and the same restaurant we had visited a few days ago, the Dereli Resyaurant. After lunch, the girls and Rob played in the waves until the wind picked up. We headed back to the house for some downtime before walking in to the center of town for some groceries. After dinner, it was time for another dip in the pool to help cool us off before bedtime.
