and home again
Barbara woke early to repack. The girls got up a little after that, and we all headed down to breakfast. Our last in France. Not great, but not terrible. Chloe got a boiled egg, but it was part of the English breakfast and therefore soft-boiled. Blech. Barbara left for her flight; the girls and I headed down to the pool for a while. We finished up packing and got to the airport three hours ahead of time. We stood in line for over three hours and just made it to the gate. What an uncivilized to travel!
The flight was uneventful. Chloe sat next to a “stranger” and did just fine. Immigration, customs and security moved smoothly and Rob was waiting for us by baggage claim. The bag took a while to come, but that might have been because the bags came on a belt other than the one that was reported.
Linda was waiting in Pine Lake to bring us dinner. I enjoyed it, but it was so late, all I could do was eat a few bites and fall into bed. Rob and the girls stayed up a little later to play games.
