If It’s Thursday, It must be DC
Well, not quite, but that’s how it feels!
The girls and I drove up yesterday, after going to the post office and library. For a telecommuter, I think I have an awfully long commute.
Today we headed down to The Mall to go to The National Museum of the American Indian. As one of the newest of the Smithsonian Museums, it is in a really beautiful building. We headed to the top and visited the exhibits. There was a lot of difficult reading, so Chloe got bored quickly. She found some different tvs that were playing different myths and stories, and that kept her mostly happy. I’m still digesting my opinion of the museum….
We ate lunch in the cafeteria. There were a number of vegetarian choices. We ended up with fruit, tamales and a sweet potato side dish. We all loved it! (I hate the food court at the Air and Space Museum, so this was quite welcome.)

Mmmm…tamales. I love making tamales, but it’s hard to find vegetarian ones, so I hardly get them when we’re out.
Ha ha !
I rarely get tamales either. These were yummy with black beans in them. Camille had never seen them and wanted to know if we were suppose to eat the husk.
