Kids’ Music In Atlanta
The old “Kids in Atlanta” blog was just not in the right place, so I’ve moved it to be ont he same account as this one. http://kidsmusicinatlanta.blogspot.com/ Don’t hesitate to send us any news for it!
100 Feeds
Whoa. I have one hundred feeds in my bloglines account now. Not all are active feeds, but it still seems like a huge number! Almost half are related to children’s music, of course. Mostly, I enjoy this easy way of keeping up-to-date with friends who are near and far.
Homeschooling 101
Among parents, schooling is a topic of converstaion that comes around again and again. We all know that the choice of school is an important one and that there is no one right answer. For our family, the right answer is homeschooling. Our two daughters, Camille (almost 9) and Chloe (just 5) have been homeschooled
Mascot Names
I’d prefer mascots with cool names. In my hometown, we were the Peekskill Red Devils. On the show “Facts of Life”, we were the “Peekskill Pirates” which was so much beter, especially that our rivals were the “Hen Hud (Henry Hudson) Sailors”. Then in college, we were the Colgate Red Raiders. But no mascot. Then
Busy At Home
We’ve been home for a couple of days, but as I’ve been sick, it has taken us a bit longer to get back into the swing of things. When Camille got home from her sleepover today, we were finally ready to return to “normal”, whatever that really means. Tomorrow we’re headed out of town again,

To Junie B. or not to Junie B.?
Is Junie B. Jones Talking Trash?By ANNA JANE GROSSMANPublished: July 26, 2007The New York Times I guess I’m not the only one who had a strong negative reaction to these books. In a house where I need to encourage my child to stop reading, I don’t have much patience for these books…
Have you met my friend Tom?
(For those of you on MySpace, no, no that Tom). I have a new friend Tom. As I get to know him better, I think he will become a great guide for me on my journeys in life. His real name is TomTom One XL, and he speaks with a very soothing British accent (well,
Favorites
As must be quite obvious, I love to take photos. Mostly of the girls, but also of flowers and other things that catch my eye. I will try to add a new photo to the Favorites Album each day, whether it be a new one or an old one!
I’m Done
after staying up VERY late and then reading all morning, I’m done. Now no one can spoil the ending for me; I’ll try not to spoil it for anyone else….
We are Home
from the children’s bookstore where the girls got to make potions, find out what their patronus is and more. Now we are settling into a long night of reading….
Walking is an Act of Socialization, Not Exercise
Each day day we head out for a walk (often Camille is on her bike and Chloe is always in the baby jogger). I see this as my minimal attempt at getting exercise. However, more often than not, it is more an act of socialization than exercise. Each block or so, we run into someone
Happy Birthday, Chloe!
Chloe’s been having a Pine Lake birthday. In the morning we went to the Beach House for the pancake breakfast, then back to the house for presents. Mid-afternoon we had lunch at The Kingfisher Cafe up the street. Tonight, if the rain holds off, will be fire dancing at the beach! Happy Birthday, Chloe!
The Mandated Wave
People should not move to our city unless they are willing to be friendly. Everyone waves at everyone. It make no difference if you know to whom you are waving…you just wave at everyone who goes by. I have quickly adapted to this way of life…the mandate takes away that fear of being embarassed about
