Rob left early for work. I volunteered at Touch-a-Truck for a very short time. The girls did some chores; Camille worked on laundry, Claire and Chloe washed Phelix. We then went to lunch at Green Ginger. Chloe and I picked up Flannery. Rob came home. Barbara arrived. Phil arrived. Rob hung the new picture wall.

More work, more school. Chloe hurt too much from her gym injury to go to gymnastics. Camille and Claire came home from play practice and worked on homework. Rob came home late, again.

I headed out early to go to a Red Cross shelter drill. Rob spent the morning dealing with bikes. Barbara took Chloe clothes shopping. Rob, Barbara and the girls had lunch at Souper Jenny’s. A standard school and work day. Barbara and Phil took Phelix on a long walk geocaching then left for the cabin. Camille and I went to the farmers’ market and to Starbucks. Chloe had gymnastics. I went to my three-hour self-defense class.

One of the reasons we chose to leave our beloved Pine Lake and move to downtown Decatur was for the walkability. While it is lovely to walk around Pine Lake on the many trails, it was almost impossible to walk anywhere other than the post office. While I don’t walk as often as I should,
