The much anticipated storm rolled in hours after it was predicted to arrive. And then, while intense, was over quickly. When the retaining wall at our old house collapsed, I had worried that I would never again enjoy a storm… but, once again, I do.

Aside from getting used to the new van, getting organized and preparing meals, we spent most of our day either in the campground or at the beach. It turned out to be a gorgeous, relaxing day. Unfortunately, Rob had to head home midday and miss out on the afternoon beach trip and Camille cooking dinner

The day got away from me because of our last minute trip to Chloe’s dentist (cavity-free is she!). But I did manage to take a couple photos with my phone — Chloe had to send a quick email thanking her friends for sending her sock back to her from their house.

Th weather was gorgeous today, and the girls and I went out for a long walk around Pine Lake. It was nice to talk with neighbors, explore the wetlands and hang out at the playground until it got dark.

This week, the girls and I have worked on sorting through our ginormous CD collection. We’ve cleaned out the car and all the other nooks and crannies in which our CDs hide. We’ve decided on which CDs to keep and which to not keep. We’ve made piles of CDs that need to be ripped into
