On Wednesdays in May, Decatur presents “Blue Sky” concerts at lunchtime on the square. Camille and I headed over today with our chairs and lunch in order to take advantage of a lovely spring afternoon. I had Camille sign us up for the door prize; much to my surprise, she won a gift bag —

The sky was threatening this evening, but there was no rain falling to wash away the dust created by today’s destruction work.

Gazoo got outside for a few minutes today … the workmen had left and the rain had washed away much of the dust on the bedroom balcony…. Poor kitty misses her jungle yard!

During our fire academy class tonight, the sky over Decatur turned quite ominous.

Camille always enjoys seeing bits of yarn bombing around Decatur and elsewhere. Chloe says these get in the way of her acrobatics, however.

The scaffolding is now complete and soon the truly noisy part will begin. I ned to find somewhere to hide for the next month or two.

We woke to rain. Instead of a long, lazy morning at LEAF, we decided to not take our chance but to pack up before it started raining even harder…

A mad morning of working and packing. An afternoon of collecting Chloe, eating with the goats and driving. Finally, we were all settled in at our camping site at LEAF.

Gazoo knew I wasn’t feeling great yesterday and decided to hang with me for quite a long time. Sweet kitty.

Despite how not-so-good our feelings about Chloe’s school are at the moment, we are doing our best to participate in “Teacher Appreciation Week”. I’m not feeling very appreciative tight now, but don’t feel like we have any choice but to feign appreciation. At least the leftover flowers look nice on my table.
