Look what was waiting for us went we got to the Austin City Limits Music Festival today! Special wristbands that let us go “sidestage” and have soem extra perks. Very nice, and very much appreciated!

Somehow it never seems to fail. When I drive through Temple, TX, on I-35 it is either raining or hailing. Yet again today, perfect clear blue skies for the WHOLE TRIP, except for the blinding rain in Temple.

Gazoo kitty was happy to have us home! And we came home bearing gifts for her! A new “water fountain”, a new littler box and new special litter. Her lab results showed she’s dehydrated, so we’re hoping to get her to drink and pee more…

Thanks to our little book store, Camille and I received free passes to go see “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” at the Plaza Theatre last night. And as a bonus, the author/screenwriter/director Stephen Chbosy was there to talk about the book and movie and to answer questions from the audience as well!

Camille will be turning 14 later this week, so when my parents came by this evening, they brought a cake with them. Camille decorated it as a “Portal cake”.

We’re approaching the five month mark of not being able to use our balconies. The plants are dead and the cat is desperate to go out. And now that the weather is cooler, I’d love to have the doors and windows open … soon, soon.
